The day Rock'n'roll marched to the BBC
These teddy boys outside Molly Moggs in Soho, are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Teddy Boy March. Of the original group a few remain, but pride and camaraderie live on. On the 15 May 1976, thousands of Teddy Boys and Girls marched to the BBC through central London demanding that more authentic Rock’n’ Roll be played on radio stations. The event was organised to raise cultural awareness of the Teddy Boy movement.
